UK-focused hosting and infrastructure

UK virtual private servers

VPS infrastructure configured around the application, not an arbitrary package name.

BLCS Global supplies Linux, Windows and managed VPS environments for business websites, eCommerce, SaaS platforms, APIs, databases, development systems and other production workloads. Every quotation records the compute, storage, network, operating-system, backup and management assumptions behind the recommended configuration.

01

Defined virtual resources

vCPU, memory and local NVMe storage are assigned to an isolated virtual environment, providing a clearer operational and security boundary than conventional shared hosting.

02

Linux or Windows

Select a supported operating system, control panel, access model and licensing arrangement around the software that will run on the server.

03

Managed or self-managed

Retain full technical control, or agree a managed scope covering monitoring, operating-system patching, backup oversight and platform administration.

Available VPS profiles

Six practical compute profiles from 4 to 24 vCPU.

The profiles below show the current configuration envelope. They are not fixed public-price packages: location, Windows or control-panel licensing, backup retention and management are confirmed in the written quotation.

Profile vCPU Memory Local NVMe Typical starting point
VPS 146 GiB100 GBBusiness websites, development systems and light application services
VPS 2616 GiB200 GBGrowing websites, smaller databases and multi-site agency workloads
VPS 3824 GiB300 GBeCommerce, application servers and moderate production platforms
VPS 41248 GiB400 GBBusy applications, reporting, databases and background workers
VPS 51664 GiB500 GBHigh-traffic platforms and larger production workloads
VPS 624120 GiB600 GBResource-intensive applications approaching bare-metal requirements

Local NVMe storage can provide up to approximately 25,000 IOPS. Supported services can add up to 1 TB of additional disk capacity to the root-storage allocation. Exact performance, location and upgrade availability are confirmed before order.

VPS configuration options

A complete infrastructure profile, from operating system to recovery.

The quotation form reveals the VPS configuration questions automatically, allowing BLCS Global to review the complete requirement instead of estimating from CPU and memory alone.

COMPUTE & STORAGE

Resources matched to real utilisation

  • 4, 6, 8, 12, 16 or 24 vCPU profiles
  • 6 GiB through 120 GiB memory
  • 100 GB through 600 GB local NVMe
  • Up to 1 TB additional disk on supported services
  • Upgrade planning around filesystem and application safety
OPERATING SYSTEM

Linux, Windows and control-panel choices

  • Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Arch Linux
  • FreeBSD for suitable technical workloads
  • Windows Server with administrator access where supported
  • cPanel & WHM or Plesk licensing by quotation
  • Clean installation, migration or agreed custom setup
NETWORK & ADDRESSING

Public connectivity with controlled access

  • 10 Gbps host uplink
  • Up to 30 TB outgoing traffic per VPS
  • Incoming traffic not metered under the standard design
  • Public IPv4 and IPv6 allocation
  • Rule-based TCP, UDP and ICMP firewall controls
OPERATIONS & RECOVERY

Administration designed before deployment

  • Web console, power operations and reinstall controls
  • Platform snapshot for controlled change activity
  • Scheduled backup and retention options
  • HTTP and TCP availability monitoring
  • API-led administration for suitable automation projects

Common VPS workloads

One platform, configured differently for each operational requirement.

WEB

Business websites

Isolated hosting for one or more production websites, with databases, SSL, backup, access controls and room for measured traffic growth.

COMMERCE

eCommerce platforms

Memory, storage and application services sized around catalogue activity, checkout traffic, scheduled jobs, integrations and recovery objectives.

SAAS

SaaS and API services

Application runtimes, background workers, queues, API endpoints and controlled deployment access for software teams and production services.

DATA

Database-led systems

NVMe performance and memory allocation prioritised around active data, transactions, reporting, indexes and restore requirements.

RDP

Windows applications

A licensed Windows environment for supported business software, administration, testing or remote application workloads.

DEV

Development and testing

Separated environments for staging, CI tasks, demonstrations, quality assurance or controlled pre-production validation.

Security and management boundary

Root access is valuable only when responsibility is unambiguous.

A VPS creates stronger isolation and control than shared hosting, but it is not automatically secure. Operating-system updates, credentials, firewall rules, application maintenance, monitoring and backups must still be managed. The BLCS Global quotation defines who is responsible for each layer before service begins.

  • Full SSH root access for suitable Linux services
  • Administrator access for supported Windows environments
  • Managed, self-managed or co-managed responsibility model
  • Network firewall and administrative access restrictions
  • Monitoring, patching and backup scope recorded in writing
  • Standard network-level DDoS protection, with enhanced options assessed where required

VPS questions

Technical clarity before provisioning.

The final quotation confirms the profile, licences, traffic terms, backup arrangement and support boundary.

Can I select any combination of CPU and memory?

VPS resources are normally delivered through supported profiles. BLCS Global will recommend the closest reliable profile rather than advertise a custom combination that the platform cannot consistently supply.

Can storage be expanded later?

Storage upgrades are available within platform limits, including up to 1 TB of additional disk on supported services. Downgrades are generally not available, so initial sizing should include realistic growth.

Does every VPS include 30 TB of outgoing traffic?

The current standard design supports up to 30 TB outgoing traffic, but the written quotation confirms the exact location, service profile and any workload restrictions.

Does a platform snapshot replace a backup?

No. A snapshot is useful before a controlled change. A separate backup service is designed around retention, off-server protection and recovery. Important production data should never depend on one snapshot.

Can BLCS Global migrate an existing VPS?

Yes. The migration plan can cover websites, application files, databases, DNS sequencing, testing and an agreed cutover window. Compatibility and downtime expectations are reviewed before work begins.

When should I choose a dedicated server instead?

Bare metal is normally considered when the application needs sustained high utilisation, very large memory, specialist storage, multiple public IP addresses, advanced private networking, GPU acceleration or more predictable physical performance.
